If we put mineral soil we think the plant will grow taller because it has minerals.

If you put SOFT MUSIC like lullabies on then the plant will grow in the direction of the music. If you put on LOUD and INTENSE MUSIC the plant will die.

One thing that we will test is which SOIL will make the plant grow TALLER. The thing we think will  be affected is the height of the plants growth. We will measure the height of the plants

1. Me and my partner will measure the plant every week in cm

2. We will pour the 2 different types of soil into each pot and put the seed in

3. Then we will put the pots next to the window so it can get sunlight and water it everyday

4. Everyday we will check on the plants and see if they are growing or dried out

5. After 1 month we will measure which plant grew the tallest

Trial 1: We used mineral soil and planted methi (indian plant). There are some seedlings and plants growing There is dirt on some of the tips on the plant.

 Measurements for trial 1: Every week the plant grew 1 cm a week.

Trial 2: We did non-mineral soil and we grew methi. There is lots of plants and seedlings. There is a little bit more plants then trial 1. Some of the plants have brown tips. 

Measurements for trial 2: Every week it grew 1 cm but on week 2 it grew half a cm.

We noticed that the plants grew 1cm every week, but for trial 2, week 2 the plant grew half a cm. They grew perfectly without sunlight most of the time( we gave them a little bit of sunlight). We found out mineral soil is the best soil to grow plants and crops.

Me and my partners question is "Does the type of soil affect the plants growth?". The answer to me and my partners question is yes, it does. The mineral one grew taller because it had nutrients ands minerals.Our hypothesis w as correct because: It grew taller, heathier, and it was mineral soil, so the plant has minerals and nutrients.

They are useful for growing crops and foods faster. And making money faster.

Yes. We could have done 3 trials and plant 9 plants. And we would have taken more notes and brought more soil for trial 3. We won't do this mistake again next year.
