Hypothesis

We think that the fiberglass frisbee will be better than the plastic  frisbee at bouncing because the fiberglass frisbee has more flexibility than the plastic frisbee.

Research

1)The size of frisbee affects the bouncing of  frisbee.

The bigger the frisbee is, the smoother the flight will be. But the frisbee doesn't travel more distance due to the weight.  Also, the bigger frisbee is worse in bouncing back because the fiberglass does not bend much.

The smaller one does not fly that smooth, but goes farther. Small frisbee has the material which is bent more than the bigger frisbee. When met with hard physical contact, it has much kinetic energy stored which results in more bouncing.

2) Kinetic energy is the force an object takes to move from one position to another .Kinetic energy is a fundamental concept in the frisbees motion . It plays a crucial role in our understanding of various everyday activities to such as walking, jumping, and throwing, as well as more complex activities like falling .

3)An elastic graph shows the limit the material could take to bend but also bounce .The line indicates the force it needs to break and go into the plastic region .The plastic region is when the  material that you use breaks .

Variables

The plastice in the middle had to be thin so it keept on riping

Procedure

1.First you get a fiberglass ring , and if you can't find a fiberglass ring then get fiberglass sticks and make it into a ring.

2.Next, get a plastic wrap that is thin enough so it flies smoothly.

3.Throw the frisbee and check the bouncing.

Observations

As our hypothesis, the fiberglass frisbee was the best at bouncing because when the plastic frisbee bounces, the vibrations of the plastic frisbee ruined it's rotation .

Analysis

we saw that when we throw the frisbee at an angle it bounced better then throwing it in a straight line

Conclusion

We found that the fiberglass frisbee worked better than the plastic frisbee.

Application

it can apply it to a basketball because the bounce great off the ground

Sources Of Error

our source of error is that the frisbee keeps on breaking.

Acknowledgement

We would like to thanks our parents, siblings and our science teacher Mrs. Sharma for the guidance, feedback and all the work done. We also want to thank Mr.Lee, Mr. Cheema and Ms. Harpreet for their help.
