Saving electricity with a humidity sensor
Grade 7
Presentation
Problem
Can I save electricity and time in a dryer with a humidity censor?
Method
- Add logs in log book when working on my project
- Research on the topic and save data from research
- Start collecting all the necessary materials for the project
- Start working on the presentation and putting data in the presentation
- Build the prototype with the materials
- Do the tests and put them into my graph
- Code build
- Look over the different designs
- Change anything if needed in current design
Analysis
I learned that if companies were to put acurate humidity censors instead of moisture censors in drying machines then everyon would save time and electricity because they would not be overdrying the clothes that they are trying to dry. When doing my tests i noticed that when taking out the towels they were warm wich means they were overdried. While building and coding my model I learned a lot about coding and debuging
Conclusion
In conclusion the data supported my hypothesis because when the clothes were dry it was faster and cheaper by 25% than the use of the two cycles that we think fully dry our clothes.
