Hypothesis
If we change the type of blanket then i think the dog kennel will heat up because blankets keep people warm so i think it will warm up a small space like a dog kennel if we also change the types of blankets the heat will be different like a thin blanket might be cooler than a thick blanket. If we could also add an comforter to see if it is cooler because they are very light and cool
Research
How much heat do dogs add when they are in a covered kennel?
Dogs add 5°C when its in a covered kennel
What temperature is a uncovered kennel indoods?
-Houses are normally between 20 and 22 degrees celsius
Variables
ONE thing that you will test/change: The one thing that we will change is the type of blanket.
The thing I think will change or be affected: i think the heat will be affected
How will you measure it? : i will be using a digital thermometer
Procedure
1.Cover the dog kennels
2.put in the thermometer
3.wait 30-1 hour
4.check the temperature
5.write down the data you got
Observations
So far,the first try of the blankets were 20 °C f while the first blanket but last was 19 °C. Second blanket the first one was 20°C th 2nd one was 20.1°C the last one is 21°C
Analysis
Number one was a great test the tempture didnt really change from the room tempture and that is the same for number two.
Conclusion
The cover for the kennel was the kennel cover which was test number 20.1 as the highest tempreature.
Application
Sophia wants to take the data that she gets and look at what would be the safest tempture for a dog that would be in the kennel so Sophia knows what the safest thing For Sophias dog at home.
