Cardboard robotic hand : Prereeta And Subhreet

In this project we make a cardboard robot hand and we compare it to the human hand and see how or how not robots can be affective in the upcoming future.

How effective is a robotic hand compared to a human hand? Similarities/Diffrences  Facts
  • It is effective- but the downsides are that the hand robotic hand may break down and (for actual robotic hands) it takes up lots of battery power and time.
  • But if made properly it can be very efficient and useful.
  • Similarities, Strings act like the tendons in our hands- when pulled act like the muscles that react to commands from our brain. 
  • Differences, robotic hands usually made out of metal and paired with batties are way different than the components in a human hand. 

 
  • Robots/machines were first created to decrease the workload of humans 
  • the first artificial hand was made in 1963 by Tomovic who got the idea from walking disabilities 

 

 

Conclusion

Our hypothesis was correct, the cardboard hand is a replica of the human hand but like the human hand it cannot function as well, and even if the hand we made were like the ones that are made professionally, we believe there will always be a downside like how robotic hand may need batteries or it may blow up if exposed to water or if something goes wrong with the programming it can cause a big problem, these type of things don’t happen to a human hand which will always be superior then a replica, even if arms also get worn out after to much work or can get strain, the real thing will always be better.
