Hypothesis

We think adults and kids learn better in the morning than in the evening whereas teenagers learn better in the evening.

Research

We found that adults learn better in two periods of time. The first period is from 1o:oo-2:oo am and the second is from 4:oo-1o:oo pm. The hormone that keeps you awake is cortisol. The hormone that puts you to sleep is melatonin. This information was found on Amberstudent.

Variables

- Location

- level of focus

- study habits

Procedure

Step #1-Take two adults in the morning then in the evening. Switch the timing the next day. Make sure that the second time you test you test them in the evening than the morning.

Step #2- Then read them a page of a book in the evening and morning. Switch the proses the next day.

Step #3- Ask them what they understand in the page you read them.

Step #4- Then record your results.

Observations

We observed that some people were less focused than others and some had a harder time understanding what was being read.

Analysis

We found that adults and kids learned better in the morning and teens learn better in the evneing.

Conclusion

In conclusion, we figured out that our research was partly correct. Adults learn better in the evening and in the morning. This means that adults should have work hours in these two periods so they can be focused on what they are doing and do it better. Kids should learn in the morning and teens should have school in the evening.

Application

We can apply this in our lives by changing the time of school. Elementary schools should remain from 8:00 am-2:30 pm and secondary should have school between 3:30-9:30 pm. As they move into university they should have classes between 10:00 am-2:00 pm and then have tutorials or tutoring between 4:00-10:00 pm.

Sources Of Error

We didn't have a consist test area which shifted our results based on the noise and distracton level.
